Frequently Asked Questions
Do we have to be members of Zion Lutheran Church or Lutheran to enroll?
No, we welcome all families! Our program is rooted in Lutheran values and we share God's love daily, but all are welcome.
Do you offer part-time, full-time, or drop-in care?
We offer part-time and full-time care. 3-5 half days and 3-5 full days are available. Half days are limited to 5 hours of care for your child. We do not offer drop-in care at this time
What does a typical day look like?
A typical day is filled with love, life, and learning! It is often filled with enriching outside activities, yummy snacks, structured learning activities (both independent and teacher guided), nap time/quiet time, fun games, biblical growth, and live music!
What is your sick policy?
We understand that sickness happens. We ask that parents keep their child home until they are 24 hours free of fever, vomiting, diarrhea without the assistance of medication.
Please be mindful that if your child develops any of these symptoms at daycare, we contact the parents for pickup.
My child needs to miss a day, do I still have to pay?
We understand that life happens! Each year parents are allotted vacation/sick days depending on how many days a week your child is enrolled. It is up to the parent’s discretion to use these days as they see fit. Since Zion Lutheran Daycare is a non-profit organization, we rely on consistent and prompt payment to make sure our operations are in order and our staff is paid.
I’m running late! What is your late pickup policy?
Zion Lutheran Daycare closes at 6:00 PM, so we encourage parents to make being prompt a priority. Any minute after 6:00 PM that requires staff to stay late is $1 per minute per child.
